Mika K was born in Kanjiza, Serbia in a musical family. She inherited her talent and passion for singing from her late father Ivan. Mika K started her musical training at the age of five and gained insight and experience in the piano and general musicianship. Mika K is a graduate of the University of Pedagogy in Subotica, Serbia. Mika K also attended The Dartington International Summer School in the UK for Jazz Singers having been awarded a full Scholarship. She has been offered twice, a place and Scholarship at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA but was forced to defer this because of her commitments to her busy singing career. Mika K is actively pursuing a career as a singer and songwriter. This year she opened The 25th Universiade in Belgrade with Serbian National Anthem and won  ”The Best Vocalist”  prize at the competition “The Battle Of The Bands" and special prize  “The Discovery of the Year” at the Vrnjacka Banja Festival in  Serbia with the song “My Night”. Her latest creation song 'Sjaj' (The Glance) has excited enthusiastic responses from music critics. Since 2000 Mika K has been recording voice over for different types of advertising campaigns and various products such as ‘Sangria’ but the most memorable one was her singing in the campaign songs for the 2007 Elections in Croatia. Mika K was involved in the new TV show Operation Triumph (e.g. Fame Academy; American Idol; X Factor) and also appeared on the MTV Adria, Reality TV Show 'Dvor' and other TV stations in Serbia and Balkans. She sang at the festivals, such as Exit, Trench Town  and in Ohrid, FYR of Macedonia etc.

Thanks to her vocal talents and stunning good looks, Mika K has often been invited to support other internationally established artists in both recording sessions and on video clips and has worked with a composer Vladimir Grajic-Graja the composer of ‘Molitva’(The Prayer) the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest winner. Mika K has been frequently involved in the various charity and fundraising events, helping children and people in need.Her future engagements include a tour of Germany with renowned band “Hari Mata Hari” from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
